Last week my fave indie theater had Happening listed as a new movie for this weekend, but then I checked the site again last night and they decided to replace it with Family Summer Camp, grrrr. I might just save some gas/money and opt for just home viewing this week.

Really wanna see On the Count of Three - I'll have to see if I can fit it in before we leave for NYC.

Watched Pleasure for the Independent Spirit Awards a few months back, and while it's a well-made film, I absolutely hated it. Maybe it's just because I don't watch porn, I don't know, but some parts of it made me feel ill, and that feeling stuck with me long after the movie was over.

I've never felt like I'm a particularly prudish person, but I feel like no matter how well the lead actress was protected on set, the things they have her doing (and one scene in particular, which made me sob) can only be faked to a point, and this goes well beyond that. Would not recommend AT ALL if you are sensitive to sexual assault.

wow, props to Montana Story for getting the wind right!!! that's something major that's always missing in Montana-set stories.

I need some feedback on Pleasure, bc it looks good and it's directed by a woman but I'm always skeptical of movies that depict the porn industry bc they're never quite as brutal as the actual industry is.
