HARD SAME. It also felt extremely misogynistic what they did to Wanda's character. The whole movie was atrocious 🤬

Looks like I was right when I commented this in the post where Sam bragged about not watching Wandavision when writing the movie:

I forgot he said that, but it explains a lot tbh. >:( Like why her whole [Spoiler (click to open)]emotional journey of feeling horribly guilty about hurting/scaring everyone in Westview and deciding to let them go bc it was morally right just...went out the window. I know we saw her reading the evil book at the end of the show, but it was SUCH a huge & sudden switch. And she wants to see her dumb fake kids, not the real and unfairly murdered Pietro and Vision??? I know, those actors weren't contracted for this, but the "women want babies or else they go NUTS!!" implications bugged the shit out of me.

if they had done a better job of explaining the [Spoiler (click to open)] corruption the Darkhold had on her it might of worked but the way they did it? Was... a choice

We needed another ep of Wanda vision to set all that up and not just a fifteen second credit scene

Or even a scene in the movie. Something. Her whole starting point in the movie came the fuck out of nowhere

I think COVID fucked up a lot of the plans they had and in turn they had to rewrite/reshoot stuff. They were still shooting the movie when WandaVision aired and the director said the had to adjust stuff on the spot. There was also a lot of change because Spider-Man was originally supposed to come after DS2, I think?

Either way, I blame Michael Waldron because I hated what he did with the Loki show lol I don’t care if he couldn’t watch WandaVision before writing this or whatever, judging by the Loki show he doesn’t usually care about the place the character is, he has an end goal in mind and he quickly takes the character there without any development. I’m pre-judging because I won’t be able to see the movie for another few months but I’m already prepared to hate the script because I’m biased lmao 💅

I thought that was original to the comic? I'm not sure, which is why I'm bringing it up.
