the biggest scams i've pulled is to claim i have a migraine at work when in fact i needed to attend a class. How do these people not just.... die of stress and shame? or fear of being caught?

Right? I once took an extended lunch to go interview for another job, but then felt so guilty about it because my then-boss was also my friend, so I told her the truth as soon as I got back lmao. Idk how people like Finch get to this level.

When I was 13, I met up with some online friends. This was probably around 2000ish? Anyway, we were friends from various band discussion boards and AIM, and when my family was visiting their town, my parents took me to meet them at the mall. They were 16, and I had told them I was also 16. I think I managed to pull it off (I hit puberty and my adult height when I was 11, so I was taller than one of them and looked easily enough like I was 16), but I felt like a massive fraud the whole time and was convinced that they would call me on the lie about my age. I cannot even fathom trying to keep track of multiple lies on an international scale with that many eyes on me. It is pathological.

It's so shameless and disgusting, and she clearly knew what she was doing and how harmful it was.
