-Star Trek: Strange Worlds will be premiering soon and takes place before the OG Star Trek series
-While Star Trek was ahead of its time in certain areas, the fashion was still very of its time
-When ST:NW was being developed they originally planned to leave the mini skirt uniforms out of the series all together and Number One, who Rebecca plays was just going to wear the same uniform as all the guys.
-Rebecca was a fan of the OG series look and requested that her character be allowed to retain the original look.
-The showrunners decided after that, that the crew should have multiple uniforms and not be confined to just 1 specific look.
