phase 4 has left me cold, im a huge marvel stan but the last couple of years ive been like ...eh, and im not sure why. i think i was too attached to the original lineup. anyway, my fam wants to see this one in the theaters so maybe that'll change things around and ill care. im sincerely happy that everyone else seems into this though!

(i also dont like wanda though so her being so central probably weighs in)

I hate the MCU Wanda, she's one of my fave comic/cartoon marvel characters an i just hate everything they've done with her.

It's all made more egregious when you remember that canonically Wanda is supposed to be Jewish.

The only Phase 4 movie I've really liked was Shang-Chi and I gave up on the shows after Loki. There's so much content now and I don't like feeling like I have to do homework before I can see and understand a movie.

These movies were always hit or miss to me but at least each one felt like an EVENT. They don't feel like that to me anymore.

I really enjoyed Shang-Chi and NWH, but overall I feel the same. I like many of the individual characters fine, but the whole "world" they're continuing to build leaves me cold.

And I also don't like Wanda--the idea of an anti-hero/morally ambiguous female character is fun, but the way they're handling her is... very weird, and the casting/changed backstory is so disrespectful to the original character.
