FKA Twigs has been given a trial date in her lawsuit against Shia LaBeouf, citing sexual battery, assault and infliction of emotional distress during their relationship.

The case is set to be heard before a jury in a Los Angeles court next year, starting April 17, 2023.

FKA Twigs - real name Tahliah Barnett - and Labouf tried to agree to a settlement out of court during 2021, however today (May 2) Barnett's lawyer said that “the gaslighting has gone on long enough here and it’s time to hold Shia LaBeouf accountable."

In his initial response to the allegations of Barnett and another former partner, Labouf said that he was "not in any position to tell anyone how my behaviour made them feel" and that he owed them “the opportunity to air their statements publicly and accept accountability for those things I have done.”

However since February 2021 Labouf is denying “each and every” claim from Barnett, including causing her “any injury or loss” and that she is not “entitled to any relief or damages whatsoever.”
