Is it weird that I'm getting tired of the constant fictionalization of true crime? I don't even watch shows like this, so it isn't as if it has a direct impact on me, but every time they trot out a new one, I'm like, "Another one?"

They just seem so bad.

no i am tired of it too. it's part of the reason why people think real life works like a movie.

That's one drawback! It isn't even about their biases, since even documentaries and single-episode shows employ those. I just don't want to watch an actor play a real-life murderer or victim. I think that that is, regardless of angle, part of how you end up with people thinking x killer is hot or blorbo from their shows.

I agree. There’s absolutely no need for an 8 part docu-drama of a 13 part shitty documentary. I’d watch Toni Collette clean her toilet before I’d watch this.

True crime is interesting to me, but I'd much rather watch a well-put-together documentary than a dramatization. There's just too much potential for it to get messy.
