Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez announce death of son
Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez have released a statement announcing that their newborn son has passed away.
In October, the couple announced that they were expecting twins. But while one, a daughter, was delivered in good health Monday, her brother tragically did not survive.
"Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness," the couple said, thanking hospital staff for their "expert care and support."
The couple's first child, daughter Alana Martina, was born in 2017. Ronaldo has three additional children: Cristiano Jr. (b. 2010) and twins Eva and Mateo (b. 2017).
