Do ppl that wear rings take them off when they shower or wash their hands? I'm not judging. Just v curious!

I don't wear them bc I know id lose them...

I keep mine on because when I first started wearing it I would misplace it every time I showered even if I tried to put it in the same place. Or I’d worry the cat would knock it down the sink.

I’m sure it’s terrible for the stone/metal but I’d rather not lose it.

I rarely wear rings because I have to take them off to eat, let alone to wash them

I threw a small ring to my husband as I was cleaning off my side table and said "do you want this little split ring before I toss it?" he was like, um, this isn't a keyring...it's your platinum wedding band. 😳 I would have thrown it away and not even thought about it and lost it forever to the city garbage.

We didn't exchange wedding bands, so I only wear my engagement ring and I never, ever take it off. I don't even know if it comes off because it's made its own little imprint in my flesh. It's a small solitaire in a thin band though, so it doesn't get caught on anything.

My wife almost never wears her ring because her hands get swollen from eczema.

At home I have little ring holders made by an artist I met in New Orleans next to each sink so I put them there every time. Helps me remember to soak them in alcohol every once in a while to clean them too.

Out in public I leave them on no matter how many times I wash my hands.

Forewarning, it’s a little kitschy and on-the-nose but oyster art is a pretty fun part of Orleans culture🦪 . I think the way she paints and lacquers them is beautiful and she was such a hilarious funky lil old lady, it was worth it.

I don't take mine off

If im at home, i take them off. If im in public, never. My ring (ruby/diamond) is an heirloom and it carries a lot of emotion.

I take my ring off as soon as I'm home - my stone is an amethyst and they're not as strong as diamonds, so that's one reason I don't wear it constantly. I'm also not a big jewelry person, so to just sit around in my sweats with a fancy ring feels silly. I always put it on a little bunny ring holder I have so when it's not on my finger I know exactly where it is.

I have showered with it on a couple times and it always feels weird.
