Avril Lavigne is engaged to rapper ModSun after a year of dating. The couple met in December 2020 after collaborating on a track together.

This will be Avril third marriage (if they make it to the altar).

I actively disliked her when she came out, because hated the anti-Britney push she got even though I was very much the demographic they wanted her to appeal to (suburban pop-punk type lol), but I heard this song randomly somewhere and would listen to it in secret but absolutely trash the hell out of her in public. Here I am 20 years later admitting this for the first time.

The very strong anti-Britney vibe really turned me off. I remember she said something negative about Britney on TRL and it annoyed me because there's a way to be the antithesis of Britney without publicly talking shit about her. It made me dislike her a lot but I later had to (secretly) admit that some of her songs were good.
