Remembering Heath Ledger on what would be his 43rd birthday

Apr 04, 2022 21:31

Heath would have been 43 today. Getting to work with him and know him was a joy. He was brilliant, hilarious, filled with energy and ideas. An artist through and through and the most divine human being. We miss you, Heath. pic.twitter.com/aw7cKwA1FA

He was my hands-down favorite actor when he died. I watched so so so many bad movies for him (Ned Kelly was so bad and had such a chokehold on me for featuring both Heath Ledger and Orlando Bloom). Definitely think he'd have gotten thrown into the Marvel mix if he was alive today, but he always chose strange roles so he might have gone a completely different route.

That made me wonder who he would play. Thor immediately came to mind but maybe a villain or something.

super late to the post, but he could have been so perfect for star lord and we wouldn't be stuck with crispy rattata. he would've brought so much more depth and charm. i looked up their ages too and they're only 2 months apart.

I remember watching this when he died and just sobbing. So much potential, gone. I wasn't even a huge fan when he died (I liked him, but I wasn't like 😀), but his wrecked me and really made me think about my own mortality since he was so young and it was so sudden.

If I’m not mistaken he was 29. I’m terrible at math so if that’s wrong whoops.

He and James Dean (24) are so surreal. Death is always saddening but when it’s someone young it’s truly shocking isn’t it. And being public figures this reminded a lot of people, especially younger, yep, you never know what’s going to happen.

So sad. So scary.

This is the most painful celebrity death for me. I remember where I was, what I was doing, what I was wearing when I found out. It wasn't until I got home and I just laid on my bed and sobbed. He was so young when he died and my heart still breaks for Michelle and Matilda.

Yeah this is my biggest one too. We were in our last semester of college and my roommate came in and told me abd I was like “that can’t be true, if it was true it’s be on the news!” and I turned on CNN and there it was. We were all so sad. It was such a loss, even obviously not knowing him.
