• The new trailer and the first six minutes of the film was screened for fans during the Bob’s Burgers panel at WonderCon yesterday.

• The new trailer provides more details on the plot which involves a sinkhole opening up in front of the family’s restaurant.

• The movie will premiere in theaters on May 27

Has the creator ever commented on how 2/3 of the main female characters are voices by men?

I love the voice acting for Linda but I've always wondered if it was ever talked about

I know for Tina, her character was originally going to be a boy and they had already approached Dan Mintz about playing the character. Then they decided to make Tina a girl and they thought it was funny to stick with Dan anyway.

Also, for what it’s worth, Andy and Olly are both voiced by women.

It’s his mom’s voice he’s doing, she also collects the Linda stuff he gets from fans lol she loves it, but it’s a character he’d already done before - then got hired for Linda, in the case of Jon Roberts, and then yeah Tina was meant to be a boy as someone else said and they just kept Dan Mintz when they switched it.

He was asked about it last year (or maybe the year before? what is time?) during a virtual panel. Kristen Schaal said she'd brought up the subject before as well, and he said he was committed to hiring more female voice actors (to play both male and female characters, iirc)
