What about Kirsten Stewart in Spencer? I thought she was really good but I'm not British so what do I know.

She whisper mumbled her way through most of the movie but whenever she had to raise her voice, she lost the accent.

When she's yelling for the boys at the end of the movie, all I could hear was her shrieking about her baby being named after the Loch Ness monster in Breaking Dawn2.

It's hard to maintain an accent when you're yelling or laughing. Your own voice comes out at those times unless you're aware of it and focus very hard on maintaining the accent. She didn't.

Haha, I learned that same general rule from watching non-American actors on CW shows. They must mumble and keep their voices at the lowest register possible in order to maintain an American accent. When they speak in their natural voices during interviews, they're pitched noticeably higher.
