Let’s clear this up. There are some of my books from over the years in there but yea 36 shelves that hold 22 books I did not have and any interior designer would have done the same. They do it all the time, I was just honest about it.

Right. I mean it is a bit absurd to run out and buy 400 books @ once so I can see why some people would laugh about, but it's also HER money. Plus I'm sure every book store needs the $$. I'm just hoping she chose a local store!

Exactly. I never really took those AD videos @ face value, because I just always assumed so much was added / modified just for the sake of the video content. Makes sense though. Even as a 'normie' -- if a 'stranger' or someone not immediately close to me, was coming to my home, I'd want to put the best presentation forward.

I follow a few different “regular” people on Instagram who’ve had their homes photographed for stuff like better homes and gardens or southern living, etc and they’ve shared what it’s like behind the scenes.

And while yeah, it’s their homes and their normal decor for the most part, the magazines definitely have stylists who bring their own pieces to add sometimes even including furniture, not just decor items. They’ll even rearrange furniture to get a more appealing shot.
