This show went super wild in season 3. I'll still watch season 4, but I rewatched season 1 lately, and it made me nostalgic for how grounded and intimate that season felt. Season 1 felt like something that could really happen, season 2 and onwards is soap opera ridiculousness.

I wonder what Book 4 will be like, considering Book 3 and Season 3 were entirely different stories. (Season 3 > Book 3, because Book 3 was just awful. It also this weird misogynistic character that left a bad taste in my mouth.)

i was trying to figure out why the first season was so much better than the rest, and you hit the nail on the head.

season 3 felt all over the place as well i still cant get over the last minute plot device of 'o she has a tell, she touches her arm when shes lying' that literally came out of nowhere
