He said that was the first place his family lived after coming here from South Korea. After that, they moved to Seattle, the Bay Area, and then LA.

I don't know how actors can smile and look pleasant when they have to deal with ridiculously awful conversations like that.

I'm not good at hiding my emotions, so even if the words didn't actually come out of my mouth, my facial expression would clearly say, "Are you fucking kidding me?"

It's been almost ten years and I'm still mad that Selfie got canceled.

One of the producers was on a podcast recently and she said she had to fight to get John Cho cast in Selfie. Can you imagine that show without him????????

Same! All of the actors had such good chemistry together and I really loved the chemistry between John and Karen’s characters! If anyone has any good recommendations of rom com shows similar to Selfie, im still looking!

Me: I know they can be unprofessional as hell, but how bad can they be?

Joy: No research done, followed by, "You sound, well, you don't have any accent or anything."

At this point I should be a host on The View. I know I'll slip up and say stupid shit sometimes, but I doubt I could ever be that casually racist or ignorant.

I couldn't believe the follow up to "I got exactly zero things correct" was her casual racism. Like seriously?

I'm not a professional interviewer but the first problem could have been completely avoided if she had just asked, "Where did you move to? How old were you?" Such a simple fix. And in an interview setting, those are better questions because it allows the subject to have a discussion with you instead of simply answering "yes" (or in this case, having to correct you).
