_Hip Hop Icon Missy Elliott set the record straight on Twitter after receiving a lot of backlash after music artist Jowell gave an Interview decrying he only gets 1% of royalties of the Bad bunny song "Safaera" while Elliott got 99% for a few seconds in the song, after Elliot found out it sampled her song "get Ur Freak On" without clearing it first.
-Elliott stated in a tweet that she received 24% of the royalties from the song and that there were 6 other artist sampled and 15 writers credited to the song. Jowell back tracked and said he never said Elliot got 99%( Even though it is on camera) and that they should work on a song together.
