I do remember really early on in lockdown When people were still thinking it would be over by summer I was like nah this is going to be three years, a year to make the vaccine, a year to get everyone vaccinated, and then a year for it to die out

I hugely underestimated how large the anti vax population would be

And there are a lot of people that went through 2021 as if the pandemic ended when 2020 did. There are a lot of idiots out there.

I've seen so many people mock the whole "two weeks to slow the spread" lockdown but there seem to be quite a few people who legit thought that would be it.

I feel the anti-vaccination movement is the reason COVID will not die out until my generation is dead....hopefully the next next generation (not the generation z's but the next generation after them) will wisen up that Vaccinations are very much still needed.

I don't think anyone saw that coming. Like, yeah, everyone expected the super fringe Jenny McCarthy types but they would be few and far between. Then Trump's dumb ass decided to politicize the response (or lack thereof) and all hell broke loose.
