• Billboard recently held their Women in Music event last week, and named Olivia Rodrigo "Woman of the Year". She pre-recorded a performance of her hit "Deja Vu" with her all female band in an empty So-Fi Stadium for the event.

• Sheryl Crow presented Olivia with the award at the ceremony and Olivia started her acceptance speech by saying, “it’s not always easy being a young woman in the music industry, but I’ve found so much strength from the female songwriters who have come before me and paved the way and opened doors for so many young women like me." She ended her speech by promising aspiring songwriters that they were working to make the industry a better place for them.

• Olivia took to Instagram to post a new teaser trailer for her album making-of documentary Driving Home 2 U. The film premieres on Disney+ on March 25 and features new live arrangements of songs off her album Sour, along with footage of Rodrigo finishing the album after the sudden success of "drivers license"

• In a new interview she also revealed that the end credits features a previously unreleased song (still in demo form), and that she included it because she "wanted people to have a new bit of Sour content" with the documentary.

• A few months ago it was announced that season 3 of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series would be filming in Los Angeles instead of Salt Lake City, where it had filmed the first two seasons. It was announced early on that Olivia would be back, but today it was confirmed that she would appear in a limited capacity.

• Season 3 of the show will take place at a theater summer camp, and Joshua Bassett (Ricky), Matt Cornett (E.J.), Sofia Wylie (Gina), Julia Lester (Ashlyn), Dara Renee (Kourtney) and Frankie Rodriguez (Carlos) will be returning as series regulars but Kate Reinders (Miss Jenn), Olivia (Nini) and many other characters from the first two seasons of the show have been downgraded to recurring guest stars. Several young Disney stars we've never heard of will be joining the teen cast, while Jason Earles and Corbin Bleu will both appear on the show.

• Rodrigo has been open about her focus being solely on music and not acting, and will kick off her first tour in April of this year while the show finishes production. There were also rumors of tension between her an ex-boyfriend Joshua Bassett at the end of season 2.
