This is a great initiative, and I'm glad it's already raised so much money.

Also, because I'm a nosy bitch I searched for their net worth and it's almost 300 million combined, and I'd not have guessed that much.

I hate giving Ashton Kutcher any credit but he walked so Ryan Reynolds could run in terms of using celebrity to create a diverse and expansive portfolio of businesses. He's a legit venture capitalist and it's gross but so wasn't his acting/hosting career so good on him I guess. But least he does a decent amount of philanthropic work and hasn't made a Dude Where's My Car 2.

I thought you meant his philanthropic work was not making a sequel to Dude Where's My Car.

300????????? So they’re giving… 1%??????
It’s like if I had 100 dollars and gave one?
It’s good they’re donating money but man… like some user above commented… one McKenzie Scott and this is over.
Like yes its a big amount of money for us but for them or any celeb like them (at least these are donating) idk… it isn’t directed at them specifically and this cause but like in general when celebs do this. And people are like it’s their money they can do what they want what do you expect them to do and I’m like donate more and pay their taxes

Net worth doesn't mean liquid cash. I assume a lot of their net worth is tied up in real estate and like investments and shit. So it's more like if you had a shirt that was worth $50 and a scarf worth $25 and then $25 in cash and then you give $1.

Still not like great. But it's a little bit more complicated.

I'm not caping for these two, but we also don't know whether they give money to other things. I'm guessing this is 1% of their networth on top of other donations elsewhere. But I might be wrong.

Yeah like even $3m in cash seems like a lot to have on hand? But idk I’m sure they have a lot of different accounts, but it’s really not advised to just keep money in a savings account.

Rich people can always give more but you don't give all you can for one single cause, next month, there will be another thing that deserves fund/money...so yeah.
