February 28, 2022 When Selma Hayek announced Michael Keaton as the winner of the SAG award for Best Actor in a Limited Series for Dopesick, he was nowhere to be found. Hayek was left standing awkwardly on the stage. "Are you kidding me?" she exclaimed, "I have stage fright!"
Suddenly you could see Keaton running into the room and rolling onto the podium. He told everyone he had to take a "quick trip to the men’s room. It is packed, by the way" Anyone remember Harry Styles doing the same with an award at the Brits?
However, things turned serious quickly, as Keaton gave a very emotional speech. Choking back tears, he said "Given the subject matter [drug addiction], this is for my nephew Michael and my sister Pam".
In an emotional speech at the
#SAGAwards, Michael Keaton dedicated his win to his late nephew who died of drug addiction. 🙏
