Game Freak just revealed the newest generation of Pokémon this morning called Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. While mainly just the graphics and vistas was showcased in the trailers it was revealed that the newest region is based off of Spain/Iberian Peninsula as well showing off the starters for the first time. I can't believe they're releasing a mainline game so soon. I guess it's not that soon after Sw/Sh but I thought Legend Arceus would give them a buffer. I certainly didn't think they'd release news about it on a Sunday!

Was trying to figure out what region this was based on and I got Spain/Iberian peninsula vibes or it's Italian based, or combo. The names are making me think that's right

OHHH YES! i don't think we've had a fire/grass type yet so that would super cool. but i feel like gamefreak wouldn't want a second grass type for the set of starters ugh

True, unless they can make the starters balance each other out: fire/grass, grass/water, water/fire.

Unlikely to happen, but it would be pretty cool.
