Unhinged doesn't begin to cover it; it's completely turned me off from the whole OL franchise.

Same. I was even in that LJ community for a bit. Left when fans started getting way to involved in Sams personal life.

I was briefly in the fandom a million years ago when the first four books came out and went to an author meet-and-greet. Everyone was really nice. I wonder how many of them carried over into the TV show fandom

How are the books? I thought about reading them a few.

It’s hard for me to objective…The first one was one of my favorite books when I was 16. I’ve reread it many times. It still holds a special place in my heart (I also think Caitriona especially was not a good choice got the character of Claire, but that’s another topic).
The second was in very different in atmosphere, but with a great ending. And the third one, for me, kinda ends they story where it needed to end. After that, the books got simultaneously more convoluted and more boring. I think she’s on what, book 8 or 9 now?

first there was the harry potter fandom, then came the supernatural fandom, and now. there is this. may there never be a trifecta such as this in my lifetime.

One of the reasons that I stopped watching after the first season. Their fans are too much. Like, Supernatural and Twilight wrapped with a kilt.
