i don't know man, has Fantasia ever acted on screen before? Does Taraji sing?

Danielle Brooks and Corey Hawkins is pretty great casting.

I'm guessing Halle is only playing young Nettie?

I remember she acted in her own lifetime movie of her life but regarding Broadway I think I remember hearing nothing but rave reviews for her performance in the color purple.

Somehow, this is exactly what I expected from her. Taraji exudes talent, I can’t explain it

I don't know about Fantasia but Taraji can sing! She was fun in the live Annie show that was on TV last year.

Um are we forgetting the Lifetime masterpiece "Life is Not a Fairytale: The Fantasia Barrino Story" starring Fantasia Barrino as Fantasia Barrino. 😭😭😭

Jennifer Hudson can't act for shit, yet she keeps getting gigs and Oscar buzz for her shitty acting. So I say why not? Fun fact, Jamie Foxx wanted Fantasia for Dreamgirls.

Some friends saw Fantasia on Broadway for the play, and they thought she was fantastic.
