i also thought he had a string of flops that proved he was unbankable but when i looked at his filmography on wiki he really only headlined one movie during the peak of his fame and his next big action vehicle was 3 years after twilight ended 🤔

he didn't actually get many chances compared to other flop leading actors so maybe he did want a more quiet life post-twilight
