Indie Film Release Guide: January 28th [An ONTD Original]

Jan 27, 2022 10:35

This weekend’s box office will be pretty bare bones, with no new wide releases from major studios and Spider-Man dominating the competition once again. Next week, we will finally see some bigger new releases after what has been a painfully slow January, but until then, check out this week's indie releases. Included are a couple of Netflix releases that were added last Friday after last week's post had been published.

The films listed are from studios other than the “Big Six” - Paramount, Warner Brothers, 20th Century Studios, Universal, Columbia/Sony and Disney. Note that some of the movies listed are in their first week or two of limited release in the USA, so it may take them a few more weeks (or months) to show up in your local arthouse theater or on VOD. Check out the posts from the past few weeks for more movies that may have just opened near you: January 21st, January 14th, and January 7th.
