It’s kinda messed up.

But also John and Olivia both need to clean up their images so badly after the scandal so I’m sure they’re gonna milk TF out of their baby to make their image all “cute and wholesome”

Children should not be on the internet in any capacity imo

Agreed. Sometimes my tiktok FYP sends me down a doom spiral of people talking about child abuse facilitated by the internet, including survivors of child abuse and exploitation who are now parents. Seeing how hard they work to shield children (including their own) and keep them offline and advocate for those things makes me so scared for my friends with children who plaster them everywhere. Once you put it out there you can’t take it back.

Maybe if you see a tiny hand helping make some cake or hear their voice saying the cake is tasty. But otherwise yes I agree.

Yeahhhh, I’m uncomfortable with how much kids get posted all over social media. From celebs to normies, how weird is it going to be one day for them to have a very public diary of their entire life that they didn’t opt in to?

i remember back in the olden days of livejournal when rating communities were a thing, there was one called “no ugly babies” where people would post pictures of their babies to be judged by other members. it was a mess.

Early LJ had some of the most unbelieveable things related to children- I remember a flame war where a pocket of military wives spent 12-15 hours berating one young woman who admitted she couldn't keep up cloth diapering and co-sleeping.

The timestamps were such that... who was watching their kids???

I turned my accounts private as soon as my daughter was born. I want to use them to share pics of her with friends and family but I’ll never post like, naked pics or ones of her on the toilet etc., I will never understand how parents can do that even when only to people they know 😭
