I'm sorry but I can't believe that we're living in a timeline where record companies are so lazy that "GAYLE" is a name that is considered good enough to be the single stage name of a singer. I'm sorry gurl but you gotta have a last name with that. GAYLE doesn't have even a speck of the star power of single names that make sense like Madonna or Prince. I utterly refuse to walk around being like oh yeah I like GAYLE, one name. And how is it better capitalized? Did her people sit there saying, hey so this name isn't strong enough on its own so what we're gonna do, instead of finding you a name that actually sounds like a celebrity and not some chick that just got back from a 4-H meeting, is to simply capitalize every letter because then people will be like wow, what a great name now that it's GAYLE instead of Gayle.... I'm sorry, I don't care if she becomes the biggest star in the world, I simply won't get on board because of the name because I'm that kind of salty human. Ciara was pushing it but GAYLE? No ma'am. the SEO on that has gotta be terrible. apparently her real last name is Rutherford, so is Gayle Rutherford not a completely adequate stage name? or if she doesn't want to get famous with her legal name - understandable, especially since her legal first name is actually Taylor lol - she could have gone with Gayle Taylor? but yeah I agree I always find it funny when artists try to be Madonna or Rihanna but the name is extremely bland
