apparently more people tend to die in january in general, due to the uptick of pathogens spread in december

this year it's compounded by covid and the lack of medical accessbility due to covid

Yeah, plus the holiday season makes it so people ignore warning signs so they can do things and don’t get medical treatment for things that may have been prevented. Plus, for older people, there’s a sense of being “over it”, I read an article about it from before the pandemic and I am sure the pandemic makes it all worse.

This post prompted me to immediately call my mama and tell her 68 year old self that she's not allowed to die anytime soon.

She cackled and said she had too much to do, including finally getting her bathroom remodelled.
