With only a month left, 20th Century Studios has debuted the first set of character posters for Kenneth Branagh’s long-delayed mystery thriller Death on the Nile, which serves as a follow-up to 2017’s global hit Murder on the Orient Express. It is set to be released in theaters on February 11, 2022

Death on the Nile is based on Agatha Christie’s 1937 novel, which tells the daring mystery thriller about the emotional chaos and deadly consequences triggered by obsessive love. The sequel to , will once again feature the return of Oscar nominee Kenneth Branagh as its director and leading star.
“Belgian sleuth Hercule Poirot’s Egyptian vacation aboard a glamorous river steamer turns into a terrifying search for a murderer when a picture-perfect couple’s idyllic honeymoon is tragically cut short,” reads the synopsis. “Set against an epic landscape of sweeping desert vistas and the majestic Giza pyramids, this tale of unbridled passion and incapacitating jealousy features a cosmopolitan group of impeccably dressed travelers, and enough wicked twists and turns to leave audiences guessing until the final, shocking denouement.”
