JGL seems off to me. Is the character meant to be stiff? I feel like he’s regressed and I used to love his movies.

He needs to get off the Leonardo Dicaprio School of Thespians and chill tf out. He was so much more enjoyable to watch when he actually had fun in his films. The weird showman/gameshow host persona he puts on during press junkets isn't doing him any favors either. Idk if it's anxiety or what but he didn't use to do this; it seemed to have snowballed after he did Don Jon.

His brother died. He seemed to have changed after that. They were very close. Idk if he needed to get over himself so much as grief changes people dramatically, sometimes.

Oh wow, you’re right. I totally forgot about that. I remember how close they were from following him and his hitrecordjoe days on tumblr, with burning dan and jgl’s gf at the time, paintyhands. I loved all of their stuff. That definitely explains so much.

same. i was a huge jgl fan and you can absolutely see the change in him from that point on. it's heartbreaking.
