Performances in comic book movies that should have gotten awards love

Most comic book movies don't get the award love it's supposed. Though in the past a couple of performances got Oscars (The Joker off the top of my head). So this list (5 for this post) will be performances overlooked during awards season. I know many will have opinions on if these performances should be on the list so I can't wait to read the

Hugh too! this scene broke me and when he told Laura later on "don't become what they want you to become"

that last moment he has with laura had me bawling in the theater, and also when she turns the cross to make it an x :'(((

I still cannot watch this movie bc I associate Patrick Stewart with my dad sfm, and he died a few months after this came out. I'd already told him I couldn't watch it when it first came out bc he was sick so when he died, I really never could go back to it. Especially bc I took care of my dad. I started watching the beginning but it was too much. I know that sounds nuts lol but true.

That doesn't sound nuts at all bb. I hope you're one day able to watch it and enjoy it without hurting too much because it's a beautifully depressing movie but don't ever be upset if you can't sit through it. It's a hard watch for anyone with any sort of connection to the characters. I only just watched it for the second time a few days ago because my brother put it on. Before then I hadn't seen it since release day; that's how hard it hit lol

TY for being understanding! I don’t ever explain this to ppl irl bc I think they’ll look at me funny; my dad introduced me to Star Trek as a kid and we watched TNG together so I’ve always had so much love for Patrick Stewart. I love his Prof X too and ik it’s completely tied to the timing of when Logan came out, the gritty dark nature of the story, and what I keep hearing are stellar performances mixed with what happened irl. Prof X being blown apart in The Last Stand didn’t affect me nearly as much bc it was so silly so it’s not even that I can’t stand for Prof X to die, although some people feel that way. But even Guardians of the Galaxy 2 made me sob lol so yeah…I’m a ways off from Logan in my watch list. But one day!!!
