He aged really badly but he was a cute young kid. I just cringe at him nowadays, because he is that person that peaked young and will never move on from Harry Potter.

I was never a Harry Potter person so I could be wrong but it seems like they all kinda know and understand that and are okay with it, especially him. There are so many bitter people who despise the thing they are known for and desperately want people to let them move on to other roles, but they all seem, with maybe the exception of Emma to a degree, to be like, it was cool I was a part of this and if I am never a part of something again, that’s okay, I am still lucky. I worked for a convention and it is rare for actors to feel like this. Most are so angry and bitter, like the Freddie Krueger actor is like the ONE who isn’t angry about his typecasting, so it’s nice to see. Maybe the studio prepped them well?

That makes me so happy to hear about Robert Englund 😭❤️

Robet Englund is the nicest person. He ended up being there after the official end of Rhode island Comic Con a few years back because he takes the time to actually talk to and get to know you. His line was super long but we got to spend like ten minutes with him and he ignored all the "handlers" who told him to hurry up.

This is the best thing to hear 😭 I’ve loved him forever and to know that he’s delightful warms my heart. I think he came to Chiller in Jersey years ago but I don’t if it’s big enough for him to come back; the better cons are always in Cali, which I understand. But I am poor and very far away from there lmao.

Thank you so much for sharing this lovely story about him just in case I never get the chance of my own to meet him ❤️

This is basically it. They've said it for years. They're never gonna be in anything bigger than Harry Potter and it's a fact that everyone knows. It's why Dan Rad's embraced doing his weird little indies because it's fun and he wants to. None of them have to be in anything successful anymore because they're set.

Rupert too. He’s clearly never cared about trying to be a big star.

During his Harry Potter years Daniel Radcliffe said in an interview that he just was rubbish at anything but acting, and in a lot of cases it's attention seeking behavior, however he is so good on stage and seems to genuinely love acting, that I think he was telling the truth. And it's cool to see a person being happy about his life.

Yes, yes Robert’s lovey but who are the bitter ones? 👀

Everyone else. I’m not even kidding.

This is really sad but having gone to conventions in the past I can totally see it.

It was either the guy that played Scotty or Checov in the 60s Star Trek that told my Trekkie mother to "get a life" when she met him in the 70s or 80s. So that's one I know of for sure.

That feels like a Walter Koenig move, James Doohan has always been deep into the Trek.

Agreed, James Doohan was very passionate about Star Trek and the impact it had. He was apparently thrilled every time someone told him they'd gone into engineering because of Scotty.

Christopher Plummer hated anything to do with The Sound of Music to his dying day
Harrison Ford with Han Solo
Eddie Murphy when you bring up Saturday Night Live

Robert just always seems grateful for the impact he's been allowed to have. He's there for every retrospective, happy to repeat all the same stories, he'll stay for hours doing autographs at meet and greets. He's never once pulled the "get a life" attitude some niche celebs do (that I know of). He just owns it.
