id be pretty surprised if they actually participated in this- pretty sure their religious beliefs are still pretty inline with independent fundamentalist baptists

They’ve done interviews where they talked about the family before. If the money is right, they’ll come.

I agree- one of their big issues with Jim
Bob was that he didn’t give them their cut for appearing in the shows. And while they’re definitely still extremely conservative, Jill has made some huge changes and seems to be learning. I don’t think we’d be friends but I commend Jill for how she’s made very obvious changes and hard decisions. I hope she’s gotten real therapy and continues to do so if needed and that she continues to learn and grow.

I don’t think Jill nor Derrick will ever be 100% what they need to be in terms of… wokeness, I guess(?), but they’ve both made some strides. And at the end of the day, if they just act respectful to everyone regardless, it’s a huge leap from where they started. But Derrick being smart enough to know that Jill needed therapy and encouraging her to go? Gotta give the man kudos for that.

But, I hear Jim Bob considers them both dangers to his family because they don’t follow his rules or his beliefs the way he wants. Someone said that’s why they called in Jessa’s husband because Derrick was sitting next to Anna during the trial and they were afraid he’d convinced her to pack up and leave.

But they both understand that what happened is wrong, Josh is the bad guy and that JB enabled him. I hope they do speak out.
