It drives me crazy in this case in particular too cause the judges statement is actually really damning but people don’t take the time to look into it and just see that the case didn’t move forward so he was never found guilty and like the angle of Mia being a woman scorned.

You can bet your last ten bucks that if the allegation that couldn't be proven in court was something they personally believed had happened, they'd be yelling to the rooftops about it. They don't have a problem believing things without proof, they just want a reasonable-sounding excuse for ignoring *this* allegation.
