I remember when Match Point came out, he did an interview with a magazine where he said his films survive on the European market so thats def very relevant today.

For as much as Europeans (especially the French) call us prudes...I take that as a badge of honor because they do allow a lot of seedy behavior than the US laws don't permit.

I've seen film and tv where girls under 18 have done almost full to complete full frontal nude scenes. I know a few american directors would probably do the same if not for laws set in place blocking that.

Everyone always wants to say how Hollywood is the big bad but it honestly makes me think of how covered up it is in the international markets. You speak up in the French industry and they immediately j'accuse you of being puritanical like an American lol. But I remember during the metoo movement Alicia Vikander supporting a bunch of women in the swedish arts industry speaking against abuse and harassment which was interesting cause Sweden always gets hyped up as utopia.

It's actually very dangerous for people to think and act uppity that all the bad is solely concentrated in Hollywood when they go the sharks lurking quietly in their waters. Weinstein was big in the euro markets....lol who do you think helped him in those fields?

full frontal not so easily. Thora Birch is the one of the few exceptions.
