watching "Get Back", I felt bad for George. Lennon and Paul were so in sync and hyper focused on one another, and he was just always in the background with no one to look at lmao.

lol, I was actively annoyed by him until Part Three, when I thought he loosened up a ton.

Haha same. He was being passive aggressive and had valid reasons to be pissed but was also clearly not helping. Their entire group dynamic was totally messed up tbh and a lot of that was clearly on John.

yeah i totally found it interesting that most of the groups tension towards the end was from george. people always made it seem like it was paul vs john tension.

The tension was complicated. The group dynamic was messed up because John was always the leader and he'd drifted away with Yoko, so Paul kept pushing these ridiculous projects to keep John engaged, but he wasn't thinking about how in the process he was pushing George away.

I think the reason the tension felt stronger with George was because he was the only one acknowledging that none of what was happening was normal.

yeah that was definitely another sad thing, especially in part 1, paul was trying so hard to get lennon to focus and engage. paul totally wanted john to be the leader, that must've been how they operated best and paul knew it. seems like john was pretty deep in his heroin addiction at that point in time tho.

I loved when George was helping Ringo with Octopuses Garden in Get Back. He was the youngest and Ringo the eldest but in that scene he reminded me of a big brother.

It made me so happy because when Ringo started playing it, I feel like even he was taking the piss out of himself all like "lmao guys, how about my Octopus song" but then George took him seriously and started workshopping it with him and then it cut to Ringo's face earnestly taking in his advice <3

Same! It felt like Ringo was genuinely excited and proud of what he had come up with so far but was pretty nervous to play it for people/of if they’d like it so he acted all jokey. Then George comes in all earnestly and leans in to him and the magic starts! You can tell Ringo is THRILLED by his mate liking it so much and what he’s adding. Such a wholesome scene.
I’ve been listening to this longer studio audio due to it. https://youtu.be/rYSLil1bq7U

So glad you like it! I had to play it for my mum as soon as I found it. I think I like it more than the actual full song!

It was such a good parallel from earlier when George was playing Ringo 'I Me Mine' and Ringo was just bopping along with it.

And then Paul was like 'LETS TALK ABOUT WHAT I AM DOING'.

omg same :(

It made me so mad when Paul was chastising John for not bringing more to the group than Dig a Pony and Across the Universe because they didn't have enough to work with, when George had literally handed them All Things Must Pass and they shat all over it.

Then I remind myself that he got to keep it and release the best solo Beatle album ever so
