I suggest waiting til the season is done. While I am really enjoying it as a fan of the first 4 seasons of the show, my ultimate verdict is contingent on how they resolve the season.

The worse case scenarios floating around would normally be easily dismissed but because of the history of this show...trust issues and what-not.

I'm enjoying this season, but Dexter has got to be luckiest serial killer alive. [Spoiler (click to open)]Like he just happens to kill another killer's son, who covers it up to avoid police searching his burial grounds. I'm not sure how I feel about Harrison breaking the kids arm. I thought they would have Harrison be a killer too and was kind of excited to see the dynamics, but instead it's just angsty/angry teenage drama(I do appreciate they are addressing the abandonment issues, but it's just not very much fun to watch). I also don't get how the townspeople are fine with "Jim" when they know he abandoned his son. I was surprised Dexter saved Molly. Sometimes Michael C. Hall's lack of an upper lip disturbs me if I'm being honest.

the writing is so sloppy but I'm just happy to have Dex back for a little while that I'm giving it a pass.
