I've been rewatching DH recently and I think it does hold up well as an entertaining show for the most part. I still just don't get how Edie was supposed to be the villain and not Susan.

Edie did some fucked up stuff but she truly only wanted to be loved and appreciated for who she was. The show didn’t explore that enough.

She wasn't even that bad in the first season. She was just attracted to the same man Susan was and got her house burned down as a result. It's like they had to make her worse to try to convince the audience to hate her.
