I know this is campy and the cast isn't really the strongest but it's insane just how fucking awful the lead is. Is he related to the producers or something bc there's just no way that kid was cast based on talent.

This is one of the worst shows I've ever seen, and I'm loving it. Chucky is hilarious.

why speak ill of the dead tho? lol The only kid I actually like is Devon, he's very natural and knows how to work subtleties, whereas Jake is constantly reacting to things like he's having a stroke.

devon's actor is amazing, i love him. i do think tho that jake's more emotionally volatile and ott reactions are pretty fitting of the situation he's in. he's a teenager dealing with grief, abuse, and a murder doll brutally killing everyone around him while people think it's him doing it. idt anyone would be reacting to that with quiet/subtle emotion.

there's a way to do intense without making it look like a comedy sketch tho. we'll just agree to disagree on this, bb, you think he's good while my roomate and I spend pretty much all his scenes in shock of how awful he is lol

I think his acting is pretty good, especially for a boy his age. Besides, it's not always the actor, it could also be how he is directed.

at first i thought jake was good, but then the actor started doing the same angry or/and sad face for the most of the episodes so.. i changed my mind

Yeah, I was okay with him for the first 3 eps or so but he's gotten progressively bad to the point it's gotten embarrasing to watch sometimes.
