First of all: let's not act like Americans speak any language but English broken, so why still turn it into a joke when esl people do it with English.

Let's be honest: most Americans don't even speak English correctly.

I took Spanish all 4 years in high school. Then as an adult, I worked with a bunch of Hispanic immigrants. At that point, I barely spoke kitchen Spanish but I could hang in translating scenarios. I’ve been out of that environment for a few years. Now I say I speak Spanish like a 2 year old. (Hablo español un poquito pero mi español es basura. como soy dos años.)
Very limited & others will struggle to understand me.

Could be my ESL behind, but doesn't "any language but English" mean I was talking about other languages then English?

If you meant that “Americans speak every language broken except for English” then that is my fault for misinterpreting what you said in your original comment, because I thought you meant that “Americans speak broken English”, which explains why I replied to you in the first place. So I was wrong in that assumption and I apologize.

But that would mean that you assume that all Americans can’t speak any other language (that’s not English) correctly, which is incorrect. Not all Americans are white, and not all Americans only know one language. The US is the most diverse country on the planet, therefore there are millions of Americans who know other languages (that are not English) and can speak it fluently too.
