I loved the 1st and 4th seasons of Dexter, so I'll probably give this a try

They touch on that in the article a little and like the user above me said - the OG show-runner left and then it became a revolving door of other writers, etc.

The original people are back for the revival so I'm holding out hope that there's something interesting here. I'm going to watch it for sure but I refuse to get my hopes up lmao.

Was season 4 the John Lithgow season? I liked that season, but stopped watching after that because of how it ended.

TBH, I’m going to let the full season air snd spoil myself with where it goes before I will give the season a watch. Though, I also admit that I’ll likely be unsatisfied if the season ends without Dexter dying or being arrested and that probably won’t happen, so…
