-In the final season premiere of Insecure, Tiffany and friends attend an AKA sorority reunion.
-For whatever reason this caused backlash on twitter that the show disrespected the sorority and that anyone who isnt part of the sorority shouldn't be playing one on television.
-Amanda Seales went to IG to state “I don’t know why people keep asking me if I’m a soror,I am not a soror. Tiffany is a soror. Tiffany is a character on a TV show. I didn’t write the character. I play the character. I’m an actress, and I’m playing a character on a TV show.”
-A fan also tweeted Issa Rae telling them not to do it again.
