Also, Baldwin is apparently a producer so he had some power on that set if he wanted to exercise it.

Yep. I get that an actor/producer may not want to involve themselves with every detail a line producer handles but you have to throw your weight around when people, especially experienced people, raise safety concerns.

yeah it's very messy because he may have had a hand in the choices that led to this

Yeah, it's also very possible he wasn't around during setups enough to realize there was an issue before this happened, unfortunately.

Oh, for sure. And certainly, it is unlikely to be his direct negligence that caused this. It's likely a chain of bad decisions that led to this outcome.
