it's kind of insane he's booking all these roles and the public hasn't even really seen him act though lol, and I say this as a fan. hope that means he's halfway decent

The public *has* seen him act. He had a supporting role in Dunkirk. Admittedly it was a small supporting role, but he was good in it. Completely fit in, didn't stand out as anything other than a soldier with the others in the scene. Got good reviews across the board.

I mean, fair. like I said, I'm a fan and I want him to succeed. I just feel dunkirk wasn't enough to showcase his acting abilities especially if he's gonna be carrying movies

Other actors have gotten roles (white, male--of course) based on supporting turns with good reviews in high-profile films with good agents, so it's not unheard of like at all. Add to the fact that Harry already has a huge fanbase, plus he did really well on SNL. So, yeah, it does make sense.

This movie already doesn't interest me, so even more of a reason not to see it or any sequel.
