The Weeknd changes "After Hours Tour" plans...

Oct 19, 2021 02:09

The Weeknd announced today that his upcoming AFTER HOURS TOUR is going through some more changes.

-Delayed again (originally supposed to start the summer of 2020, but we all know how that worked out).
-Switching from arenas to stadiums, due to venue constraints.
-Refunds will be given back via their source of purchase (fans will have to buy tickets again for the new shows).
-Rebranding with themes of his 'After Hours' album, and upcoming 'The Dawn' album, and renaming to "After Hours Til Dawn Stadium Tour".

OP believes that since Abel has announced his forthcoming album "THE DAWN" is 100% complete, he will most likely use the extra time to start the promo trail for the new album (TV/press/etc.), and will soon follow up the lead hit single "Take My Breath".

I didn't have tickets yet, but planned on getting cheap nosebleeds closer to the shows date. I'm kinda bummed, because I really wanted the strictly AFTER HOURS tour, but now the setlist will have less space for those tracks with THE DAWN content. Oh well. And if he's doing stadiums, that stage better be some U2 or Madonna level shit.
