Matt Reeves, director of The Batman revealed the first official photos of Zoe Kravitz as Selina Kyle. WB also released posted featuring the titular character and The Riddler

Julie Newmar, Eartha Kitt, and especially Michelle Pfeiffer are my Catwomans (Catwomen?), so I’m having a hard time picturing Zoë in the role but excited to see what she does with it!

(I couldn’t get into Anne Hathaway’s version at all, or Halle Berry’s, but that’s not that surprising since the movie was terrible lol.)

I always feel for Anne cause she got a lot of hate and granted I was part of that. I wasn't here for her casting but I will give her credit for working hard in the movie.

That said....girl Romeo + Juliet is currently free on youtube movies!!

Anne is a terrific actress, I just think the part was written poorly tbh. Very forgettable compared to previous iterations.

Anne's opening scene was so freaking great and a perfect delineation of catwoman, and then....the rest of the movie.

Granted I’ve only seen the movie once but I barely remember Catwoman in it. She should’ve been the standout, a la the Joker in the second movie.

predictably nolan didn't know what to do with her (or frankly any character at all). that opening and some of the outfits are the only memorable parts.

I know I’m in the minority (maybe not on ONTD but in general), but I prefer Tim Burton’s Batman movies.

Nolan’s are just made in a way that…how do I put this…lets neckbeard comic-book fanboys continue to pretend like they and this story should be taken seriously when it’s literally a rich guy getting revenge by taking on bad guys in a fucking bat costume. At least Burton’s doesn’t act like it’s not completely ridiculous lol

Yep. My problem with Nolan is that he takes himself waaaay too seriously with absolutely everything, including his batshit movie premises. If you're going to do that with Batman, or comic books at all, you need to make them very enjoyable, which he didn't do for batman 1 and failed at completely for batman 3. I don't know why he got batman 2 to work. I like my comic books a little camp.

Camp is how they’re supposed to be! It looks so stupid trying to rip the camp out. Marvel knows how to do it.
