I haven't seen a post for Brassic here before, so here's a quick rundown of the story: It's a dark comedy about a working-class, bipolar thief named Vinne O'Neil and his gang of friends/thieves who are trying to make their way as adults in the fictional Northern English town of Hawley, and they regularly wind up in extremely ridiculous situations.

The best thing about this show is that it has really well-developed characters who keep the story grounded no matter how silly it gets. It genuinely feels like you're watching a group of friends who love each other, and there's a lot of affection shown between male friends which is refreshing. It can be super gross sometimes but also poignant and heartbreaking.

Brassic is created by Joe Gilgun and it's based on his actual life. Vinnie is essentially him, right down to being diagnosed with BPD and living in the woods (which he was doing until last year). His struggles with mental illness are a big part of it and very well handled.

If you were a fan of that era of British shows like Shameless, This Is England, Misfits, The Inbetweeners, etc. or even comedy like It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, then I think you'll enjoy Brassic.

Has anyone here watched S3 yet? Would love to hear your thoughts even if you haven't.
