- In a interview with Variety Awards Circuit Podcast, Kirsten Dunst reacted to the possibility of earning her first Academy Award nomination for "The Power of the Dog".
- "If it happens, it couldn't come at a better time. It would mean so much to my family. So, it would be so fun to celebrate. They've been waiting for a long time. Just do it for my mother!" She joked. "Yeah... It's obviously something that would be awesome".
- She also revealed that she and her husband Jesse Plemons promised to make a project together every 5 years or so because they met on a set (FX's 'Fargo' season 2), so maybe keep working together will bring them luck. They plan to direct something together when their children are a little older.
