The past few days saw Twitter aflutter with the news that Selena Gomez and Chris Evans supposedly are dating. A Twitter user posted that the pair were both seen leaving the same studio (separately) and then leaving the same restaurant (also separately). The rumours seemed to be confirmed by the fact that Evans follows Gomez on Instagram (she does not follow him back).
Could it be true? No. (I mean yes, it could be true and they do happen to be secretly dating, but not based on the evidence in this post.)
Both the pictures of Gomez and Evans are old pictures - Selena's are from 2017 and 2019, while Evans' are from 2013 and 2020. As a matter of fact, although the backgrounds are similar the photos are not even from the same place.
Also, the same day she supposedly was leaving a studio (oct 1st), Selena was indeed caught by paparazzi, but in a completely different location.
Chris Evans does follow Selena Gomez on Instagram though, but so does 267 million other people.
